Joseph Racich, President of Brokers Alliance, starting writing life insurance as an independent broker in 1978. Joe found that he and other agents in the industry, were in need of a reliable resource that would provide vital product information, underwriting support, and marketing techniques. He knew what agents needed, so decided to open his own general agency.

Joe founded RAAN Marketing, Inc. in February 1982. Our first office was established in the town of Homewood, Illinois. We expanded in 1995 by establishing our Fountain Hills, Arizona office, RAAN West.

His original idea was to create a one of a kind National General Agency that would offer superior service, compensation, and benefits to our agents. In order to better portray this inspiration, we changed our name to Brokers Alliance, Inc. in 1998.
